To Kill a Mockingbird, is written perfectly for a teenager, takes place in a very significant historical era, and teaches many crucial lessons. Hence, teachers should not doubt teaching To Kill a Mockingbird to high school students, as the novel provides essential knowledge for the success of students.


I want to be a special education teacher because I enjoy working with children with disabilities. During elementary school when I was working with Evan during class I realized that I needed to make the lesson something new and fun for him to remember each thing and for him to focus. We used the game bingo very often for lessons. Bingo was good for math and for vocabulary. One time during fourth grade we were out in the hallway reading books and one of Evans friends, Mackie, came and joined us, the lion the witch and the wardrobe essay.


When I was old enough, she placed me in reading programs at the library to further my reading skills and to meet some other children before kindergarten. I stayed in these programs until about third grade. I really enjoyed going and got excited to see what the next story we would be reading. As the pages of my favorite childhood story flutter through my fingers, memories of fantastical worlds flood my mind. I begin to read aloud about the four children, sent away to a mysterious house and the wardrobe that transports them to a magical new land. The tale is just as enchanting as I recall, but this time through the story, the magic I appreciate most is not found in the pages of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Sometimes when we were bored we would practice our typing skills by going on Microsoft Word and have a competition on who could write the best story.


My mom would judge and the end result would always be a tie, of course. Similarly we created Power Points, which involved researching companies and reading about what kinds of products that they made and sold. During elementary school the part of the week that I looked forward to most was when we got to go to the library and pick out which book we would get to read. Once a year we would take a placement test to see which reading level we were at, which corresponded to a colored sticker that each book had. This app allows Karen to tell how her students are writing and how the students are interpreting stories of their own age.


Sixth grade teacher, Karen Guyton uses another great app in her classroom called Too Noisy. It allows her to manage the noise in her classroom and she can spend less time telling the students to be quite and more time teaching. High School teacher, Seth Taylor uses Google Classroom which allows students to work online.
